A message from the artists:

"This sculpture is the actualization of an image that came to us many years ago. It manifests our long-held fascination with the ancient stone circle. Its creation was a mixture of excitement and challenge, of obsession and joy. We hope you find, as we do, that it embodies the enduring magnificence and mystery of Stonehenge."

The Lewis brothers, Drake and Waldon felt compelled to make a pilgrimage to this cairn high in the Presili mountains to visit the source of the bluestones. The ancient builders of Stonehenge believed the bluestones had magical qualities and went to great trouble to transport many of them nearly two hundred miles to the Salisbury plain. The artists were moved and inspired by the stark beauty of this remote setting.
